Hawthorne Court recently was awarded LIBN's "Top Smart Growth Award" which recognizes the residential real estate project that best exemplifies the future for Long Island's housing needs.

HAWTHORNE COURT is the proud recipient of “Vision Long Island’s” 2009 “Smart Growth Award”.

Vision Long Island (www.visionlongisland.org) is a not-for-profit organization that advocates Smart Growth building projects. They bring the best practices of community design together to advance quality growth and preservation on Long Island.

The “Smart Growth Award” honors individuals and organizations taking leadership in advancing Smart Growth projects, policies and initiatives. Specific focus areas include mixed-use development, affordable housing, environmental health and safety, open space and historic preservation, traffic calming and pedestrian safety, transportation enhancements, clean energy, downtown revitalization, and/or community based planning.
